i never knew i could love someone so much..even someone who:

~ will occasionally use me as a human kleenex
~ has gained more of my husband's love than i have.
~ sometimes refuses to say my name, choosing rather to tease me by calling me the name of another.
~ won't allow me to use the bathroom in peace.
~ won't finish reading one book before bringing me three others to begin.
~ will very vocally complain about the food i've prepared or will simply throw it on the floor.
~ will follow me as i clean the house, undoing any progress i make.
~ tries to use spaghetti sauce as hair gel.
~ at times, can smell worse than a sewage plant.
~ has tried more than once to undress me in public.

thanks to everyone for your thoughts & prayers for kennedy! she is fully recovered - although she still has some stitches in her nose that haven't dissolved all the way yet. unfortunately, the experience has left her with a new fear of all things doctor related. she had a checkup last friday & she spent the whole visit screaming at the top of her lungs. it didn't help that the visit then ended with 3 shots. hopefully this won't be the new norm ~ she used to be so calm at the doctor's office.
starting october 6th, i was back working full time at dr. walter's office to help them out while the assistant who took my place was on maternity leave. she came back this week, so hopefully now my schedule will calm down a bit. it was really hard leaving the house at 7:45am and not getting back until 6pm. jess was wonderful enough to watch kennedy for us & on occasion she would send dinner home with us too!! such a sweetie!! i really don't know how women work fulltime hours away from the home when they have kids....i had zero energy by the time we got home to try and get anything done around the house...especially since i wanted to spend what little time i had w/ kennedy before her bedtime. anyway, that's what's been keeping me busy lately...but now i'm FREE AGAIN!!! woo-HOO!! :o)

rough day

well, i've been up since 4am so be kind and pretend there aren't a bunch of typos in this entry.
we had to be at the children's hospital in st. louis by 7:15 am....and it's a 2-hour drive away, so we were up waaay too early. kennedy only slept for 15 minutes in the car, so she was tired before everything began. her surgery lasted a little over two hours, but everything went okay ~ it's wasn't the best outcome we were hoping for (the cyst burst and was therefore harder to remove, so there's now a slight chance it may come back in a few years), but it's okay. the dr said it was already starting to cause the cartilage in her nose to grow wrong ~ but not too bad. we have to go back in a week for a follow-up visit. i survived with only 3 emotional break-downs ~ and there so easily could have been more. kennedy wasn't happy when she woke up from the anesthesia, but once she took a little nap, she became super friendly and started waving at everyone who walked by her room.
thank you all so much for your prayers for our safety on the roads & for kennedy's health & hopefully speedy recovery!!!

just to catch up...
my new favorite sound is "mmma mmma mmma" ~ it's a beautiful thing. :o) unfortunately, it was quickly followed by "nnuh nnnuh nnnuh" ~ i know the word "no" is just around the corner. grrreat. she discovered something else recently too: the whine....ugh! kennedy is now known as "the squeaky wheel"
i'm running out of free time here, so now for all the pictures:
she still loves books....unfortunately, her favorite thing to do with them is knock them all off the shelf....i couldn't even count the number of times i pick these books up everyday.
